Meet Ricardo Martinez, a seasoned musician with almost 40 years of experience in the dynamic realm of the music industry. Originally hailing from Venezuela, Ricardo made the USA his home nearly three decades ago. His diverse journey in music has taken him through a myriad of experiences, from touring globally with Latin-Pop sensation Chayanne™ to providing musical accompaniment for weddings and jazz performances at local clubs.

In his extensive career, Ricardo has navigated through various musical landscapes, showcasing his versatility. Whether it's writing compelling songs, playing the banjo at the opera, or contributing to recording sessions spanning from jingles to high-budget projects with renowned artists, he has consistently delivered excellence. Notably, Ricardo has been the go-to bassist for numerous national and international artists.

With an impressive track record, Ricardo boasts an impressive collection of 14 Grammy® Award participations, including 12 nominations and 2 wins. His recent venture into a solo project titled "143rd. Street" marks a new chapter in his musical exploration.

Ricardo's musical education is equally impressive, having studied guitar, arrangement, composition, ear training, harmony, and improvisation under the guidance of Aldo Balestrini† (Berklee College of Music alumnus). His dedication to musical mastery extends to learning piano, drums, and vocals from various accomplished teachers.

Currently residing in the vibrant city of Miami, USA, Ricardo continues to leave an indelible mark on the music scene, combining skill, passion and a wealth of experience to create extraordinary musical moments.
